Standard Authentication

Standard authentication is USP's default login method for both Users and Accounts.

With Standard authentication, usernames and passwords are stored securely in the USP database—no external identity provider is required. Credential management is handled entirely in the USP Admin UI or via the USP REST API.

Keep at least one User with Admin Role and Standard authentication to prevent lockout if external identity services (e.g., LDAP or IdP) are unavailable or misconfigured.
