Protocols

USP supports several secure transfer protocols that handle both inbound and outbound traffic across the proxy boundary.

Each protocol defines its own session model and authentication mechanism. When operating in a secure mode—such as SFTP, FTPS, or HTTPS—it also applies an encryption layer to protect data confidentiality and integrity throughout the transfer process.

FTP(S)

File Transfer Protocol (secure or non-secure). Supports both plain FTP and FTP over TLS for encrypted communication.

HTTP(S)

Hypertext Transfer Protocol (secure or non-secure). Used for proxying web-based integrations such as REST APIs, webhooks, and web applications.

SFTP

Secure File Transfer Protocol over SSH. Always encrypted and authenticated, used for secure file exchanges.
