Universal Send Data to Virtual Terminal Configuration Options

The following table lists the available UNVVTSND configuration options. Each Option Name is a link to detailed information about that configuration option.

Description

OPENVT

Opens a virtual terminal path. This causes a new interactive job to start on the system associated with a virtual terminal.

Typically, multiple executions of UNVVTSND are required to perform the desired work in a virtual terminal session. The virtual terminal path should only be opened on the first command execution for working with a given virtual terminal session.

CLOSEVT

Closes the path to the virtual terminal session when UNVVT execution ends.

CURSOR

Specifies the location to place the cursor in the virtual terminal.

KEY

Specifies the function key that will be sent to the virtual terminal as a key press.

DATA

Specifies data fields to be populated on the current screen of the virtual terminal.

DLY

Specifies the maximum time to wait for a response from the virtual terminal before continuing regardless of receiving a response.

DSPLY

Specifies whether virtual terminal screens should be printed to standard output.

VALIDATION

Specifies validation criteria to verify the state of the current screen of the virtual terminal.

SETVAR

Set a variable with content from the virtual terminal screen.

DSPPGMMSGH

Defines handlers Display Program Messages scenarios that may occur on the current Virtual terminal screen.
